A 35-year-old woman has been moderately injured after falling in a hard-to-reach area in the Teide National Park on the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Coordination Centre for Emergencies and Security of 112 in Canary Islands.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon and the helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands had to be dispatched to the scene. The rescuers descended to assist the woman, provided initial care, and then evacuated her by air to the helipad at La Guancha.
Subsequently, on the ground, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the woman, who had suffered a moderately serious lower limb injury. She was then transported by ambulance to the Northern Hospital.
