Woman Rescued from Challenging Terrain on Mount Teide

A 35-year-old lady sustained moderate injuries after a mishap in a hard-to-reach location within the Teide National Park, situated on the island of Tenerife. This information was disclosed by the 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of the Canary Islands.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when the helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands had to be dispatched to the site. Rescuers descended to aid the injured lady, providing initial assistance before airlifting her to the La Guancha helipad.

Later on, on the ground, the personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the lady, who was dealing with moderate lower extremity injuries. She was then transported by ambulance to the Hospital del Norte for further treatment.

The Tenerife Firefighters Consortium, along with the Environmental teams, Rural Guards, and Local Police from La Orotava, all played significant roles in the successful resolution of the incident.
