The finest cuisine in the world at your fingertips in Tenerife. Sweet enthusiasts are in luck, as they will have the opportunity to sample some of the delights crafted by one of the most renowned pastry chefs globally. We are talking about Jordi Roca, who is currently on the island with his foodtruck Rocambolesc.
Jordi is one of the three Roca brothers who founded El Celler de Can Roca, one of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in Spain, Europe, and the world. At present, he is in Costa Adeje, specifically at the Royal Hideaway Corales hotel, alongside his wife Ale Rivas and many of his famous desserts.
The Catalan’s creativity translated into ice creams, chocolates, and other creations. A delight for any palate and available for enjoyment in Tenerife thanks to Rocambolesc until the 28th of May. Opening hours are from 12:00 to 21:30, open every day except Mondays they spend on the island.
Having recovered his lost voice due to a dystonia in 2016, Jordi and Ale have expanded their market. Rocambolesc was born twelve years ago in Girona, and after expanding to Barcelona and Madrid, they have chosen Tenerife as the first stop for their foodtruck.
Famous Desserts
A visit to El Celler de Can Roca is a once-in-a-lifetime experience recommended by those who have been fortunate enough to do so, with the sweet component born from Jordi’s own imagination. Some of these desserts are in Tenerife with their evolution in ice cream.
One of them is the sheep’s milk, cotton candy, and guava dessert, one of the famous dairy desserts from El Celler. Not only ice creams can be found. Chocolate bars as striking as those with cookie, caramel, or sugar star toppings. Desserts worth tasting at least once in a lifetime.
