Accident in the Canary Islands. A hiker suffered injuries to the foot caused by a large boulder in the Erques ravine, in the municipality of Güímar, on the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency Coordination and Security Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place at 13:20 on Saturday, April 13.
The victim sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted by a rescue helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Canary Islands Government to Tenerife North Airport, from where an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) transported them to Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital.
