An elderly 67-year-old gentleman has been admitted to the hospital in a critical state after a collision with a motorcycle on Avenida Europa, located in the municipality of Adeje, Tenerife, according to reports from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place shortly after five o’clock in the afternoon this Saturday, when 1-1-2 received a notification about a pedestrian being struck by a motorcycle carrying two individuals. Subsequently, Cecoes promptly mobilised the required emergency response resources to the scene.
Two basic life support ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), a medical practitioner and a nurse from the Adeje Health Centre, as well as officers from the Local Police, rushed to the incident site.
Upon arrival, the SUC team along with the healthcare professionals from the Adeje Health Centre provided medical assistance to the injured gentleman, who was then airlifted in critical condition to Quirón Hospital for further treatment. One of the motorcycle passengers, a 22-year-old male, sustained minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital for evaluation.
