The Tenerife Cabildo has disbursed the nursery voucher benefiting a total of 1,500 families, with an investment of 1.2 million Euros.
The President of the island’s Corporation, Rosa Dávila, praised this initiative, stating that “we cannot overlook that we are living in times where raising our children can be a challenge, therefore, from the Government Team, we firmly believe that initiatives such as the nursery voucher are a significant step forward in supporting families and promoting the well-being of children.”
Likewise, Dávila highlighted that the nursery voucher is “a pioneering initiative in the Tenerife Cabildo, designed to provide financial support to families with preschoolers.
This program’s main goal is to ease the economic burden associated with caring for young children, allowing parents to access quality nursery services with financial aid that eases the family’s finances while promoting better work-life balance,” said the island’s president.

At the same time, Dávila has expressed her commitment to renew the nursery voucher annually so that “we can benefit around 7,000 families from Tenerife to receive an average aid of 800 Euros to enroll their children, aged between 0 and 3 years.”
Similarly, the Councilor for Employment and Education, Efraín Medina, praised the work carried out by the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment, and Business Development (Fifede), responsible for managing these aids. “We appreciate the involvement and effort of all the staff to successfully grant the scholarships so that families could receive the financial contribution as quickly as possible.”
On the other hand, the President of the Tenerife Children’s Centers Association (Acinte) Ana Gaitán Lago, appreciates the measure taken by the Tenerife Cabildo as it directly aids families without intermediaries from the centers. She points out that it was a commitment of Rosa Dávila during the electoral campaign and that “from the association, we are pleasantly surprised by the speed and efficiency not only with which the Nursery Voucher has been implemented but also how the deadlines have been met so that this aid to families is not fictional and has reached families within the school year.”
Gaitán also values the coordination that has existed between the Tenerife Cabildo, through Fifede, and Acinte “because they have at all times had our knowledge and experience, and that collaboration has been reflected in the gratitude shown by these 1,500 families because we have done things well.”
