‘La Movida, the 80s musical by Theatre Properties’ arrives in Tenerife this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, 12th and 13th of April, Teatro Leal de La Laguna will host this show at 8:30 pm. The spectacle delves into themes of love, friendship, and decision-making, set amidst a spectacular backdrop where you will enjoy 24 musical numbers and groove to 35 Spanish pop hits such as ‘Voy a pasármelo bien’, ‘Lía’, ‘Bienvenidos’, ‘Quiero tener tu presencia’, ‘Salta’, ‘A quien le importa’, ‘Lucha de gigantes’, ‘Déjame’, and ‘Santa Lucía’, among others.
Film
TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes will screen Animalia this weekend, the debut film by the Franco-Moroccan director Sofia Alaoui that won the Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and Palm Springs Film Festival. The movie, a fantastic drama about the end of the world, serves as a human odyssey, a tribute to nature, and a reflection on humanity’s place in this complex world. Animalia will be shown over the weekend at 7:00 pm in the original French and Arabic version with Spanish subtitles.

Concert
Arona pays tribute to pop culture with a Tina Turner tribute event happening this Saturday at the Infanta Leonor Auditorium in Los Cristianos, starting at 8:00 pm.
‘Tina Forever’ is a tribute to the career and immense legacy of the legendary singer Tina Turner. The performance includes renditions of her famous songs such as ‘Simply the Best’, ‘Proud Mary’, and ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’. The 90-minute show features musicians, dancers, and actors from various artistic disciplines recreating her iconic dance moves and highlighting Tina Turner’s influence on music and pop culture, making her an authentic icon.
