Following the maritime storm that battered the shores of Canarias with waves exceeding four meters, which resulted in the tragic death of a man in Tenerife on Thursday and severe damages in various coastal towns, the spotlight on Friday is stolen by a dramatic rise in temperatures, reaching over 33 degrees Celsius recorded at 09:30 at Tenerife-Sur airport, specifically at 33.2 degrees.
It was not the only location to surpass this threshold, as in the small village of Tasarte thirty minutes earlier, the thermometers were already showing 32.9 degrees, as well as in Agaete, with 32.4; and in Maspalomas, with 32.3, among other areas of the archipelago.

This rise in temperatures has triggered the Government of Canarias’ alert for forest fire risk, compounded by an increasing calima over the next few hours.
