SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 10th April. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 40-year-old woman, a resident of La Laguna, has been apprehended by Civil Guard agents from the Main Post of Candelaria on suspicion of committing ongoing fraud.
The investigation was initiated after the management of a centre for individuals with intellectual disabilities reported fraudulent use of a resident’s card.
Following thorough investigations, the authorities discovered that one of the caregivers, exploiting her position at the centre, misappropriated a resident’s card to make transactions and purchases totalling 6,795 Euros.
Substantial evidence led to the arrest of the suspect for continuous fraud.
The detainee and all associated legal procedures have been handed over to the Güimar Guard Investigative Court.
