SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 9th April. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Three men have been detained by the National Police in the La Cuesta neighbourhood for their involvement in an illegal drug distribution network situated close to a school. The individuals were allegedly running their operation from properties in close vicinity to the educational institution, where they were selling drugs in small quantities.

An investigation by National Police officers, aiming to combat local drug trafficking, uncovered the activities taking place in La Cuesta. Several individuals were observed distributing drugs on a small scale from properties near the school, operating very actively.

Surveillance and inquiries led to the identification of three men using two residential properties for their operations, with a third property used as a storage location for narcotics.

Subsequent to gathering sufficient evidence, and acquiring judicial approval, the National Police carried out three searches of the properties. This resulted in the arrest of the three suspects and the confiscation of over 5,900 Euros in cash, 352 grams of cocaine, 3.6 kilograms of hashish, and various items used in the handling and sale of illegal substances.

Following police interrogation, two of the detainees were remanded in custody after appearing before the competent judicial authorities.

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife National Police’s primary goal is to prevent and combat drug trafficking and use in the neighbourhoods and city centres of Tenerife’s capital, by eliminating locations used for the sale of illegal substances.
