The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and nationalist deputy, José Manuel Bermúdez, will become a father for the first time at the age of 58. The mayor from Santa Cruz has shared the “fantastic news” with his colleagues and friends through a message, announcing that he will be a dad to a son.

In his message, nationalist José Manuel Bermúdez stated, “There will be sleepless nights, but we are ready for everything, happy and excited. And of course, Paula (his current partner) and I want to share this excitement with all of you”.

The mayor of Santa Cruz has confessed on numerous occasions his love for children and has always spoken affectionately of his niece, whom he adores. Now it’s his turn, and the mayor is thrilled about the baby’s arrival. Specifically, his partner is three and a half months pregnant.

José Manuel Bermúdez, who currently holds positions in the highest political bodies of CC and also in the National Executive, has held various public and organizational responsibilities within this party. He was president of the local nationalist Committee of Santa Cruz since 2006 and is currently the Secretary of Insular Policies.
