SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30th March (EUROPA PRESS) –

A young woman of 18 years and an unidentified man were hurt in a road incident that took place yesterday morning on the Southern Highway (TF-1) near the Tabaiba area in El Rosario municipality, according to reports from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. when the 1-1-2 operational centre got a notification about a vehicle colliding with the median of the TF-1, heading towards Santa Cruz. Consequently, the Cecoes promptly mobilised the required emergency services.

Firefighters Consortium personnel secured the crashed vehicle while SUC medical staff evaluated and aided the two casualties, who were later taken by ambulance to Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.

During the initial assessment, the young woman suffered a moderate facial injury with no complications expected, whereas the man had a minor head impact with no anticipated complications either.

Road Maintenance Service employees from Cabildo de Tenerife, alongside firefighters, were responsible for the road cleaning tasks.
