The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Local Police officers stumbled upon a group of tourists camping within the confines of the Pijaral Integral Reserve during their routine patrols within the Anaga Rural Park. Consequently, the campers were promptly evicted.
According to the official statement released by the Local Police’s communication department, the Pijaral Integral Reserve boasts special protective status owing to its rich environmental attributes and extensive laurel forest. Consequently, camping in this area is strictly prohibited.
The individuals in question were identified, and a report of the violation was filed with the environmental authorities at the Cabildo de Tenerife. Subsequently, they were instructed to pack up their belongings and were escorted out of the Reserve premises.
