Despite our hopes for its rejuvenation over the past few months, Román M González has confirmed that El Pino de la Mano de Dios is no longer alive,” revealed the aforementioned source. “We will cherish the memories of this exceptional giant that resided in the pine forest of La Orotava.”
This unique tree can be found on Monte del Pino, adjacent to one of the paths running parallel to the Santa Úrsula firebreak, situated at an elevation of 1,435 metres above sea level.
Furthermore, it was an extraordinary specimen with six main branches at chest height, boasting a total circumference of 12.60 meters. Slightly tilting towards the northwest, it was a prominent sight from the nearby pathway.
Today we bring bad news.
After spending a few months hoping that it would re-sprout, it confirms to us @RomanMGlez that El Pino de la Mano de Dios 🌲 is considered dead 😟
