The British airline Jet2.com has announced the opening of a new base in Bournemouth in April 2025, making it their twelfth base. They will operate flights to sixteen destinations, eight of which are in Spain, including four in the Canary Islands.
These destinations include Gran Canaria, TenerifeFuerteventuraLanzarote, Alicante, Ibiza, Mallorca, and Menorca, as stated by the airline in a press release on Tuesday.
The first flight will depart from Bournemouth to Tenerife on the 1st of April 2025, with tickets for these destinations set to go on sale in the coming days, according to the company.
Additionally, the route to Fuerteventura will be exclusively operated by Jet2.com, added the airline.
This expansion is “another indication of the company’s confidence in its long-term strategy and commitment to Spain and its islands“, their main foreign market.

Jet2.com will also be inaugurating their eleventh base in Liverpool on the 28th of March, connecting to the same eight Spanish destinations. There are plans to operate flights from Liverpool to Malaga and Reus (Tarragona) in 2025 as well, as per Jet2.com.
