An interruption in the Endesa power grid has resulted in approximately 2,000 El Sauzal residents losing electricity. The affected areas include Ravelo, where the power cut occurred early in the morning, as well as the General Highway and San José.
Mayor Mariano Pérez has stated that the cause of the outage “is the collapse of a high-voltage line in Ravelo, which connects Santa Úrsula with Tacoronte. The line has been undergoing repairs for several hours, worsened by the adverse weather conditions of heavy rains and strong winds in the area.”
Both the town’s engineer and the mayor have been in constant communication with the power company since the incident began. The company apologises to its customers for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.
