With school holidays and many leisure activities, there is an increase in road travel during this Easter week in Tenerife. This leads to a higher number of journeys, both to enjoy a different day in different parts of the island and to attend the numerous processions taking place across the island.
Considering this, the two public transport companies in Tenerife have decided to enhance their services in the upcoming days, anticipating an increase in passenger demand.
Both Metropolitano Tenerife for the tram frequency and Titsa, have announced improvements in many bus routes.
Tram Service: Uninterrupted
The Line 1 of the Tram will operate uninterrupted from Wednesday morning until midnight on Sunday the 31st of March, with frequencies of 12, 15, and 20 minutes during the Easter holidays, on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
In a statement, Metrotenerife also mentioned that night services will have intervals of 20 to 30 minutes between stops.
Due to the programmed processions in the urban area of Santa Cruz, it is noted that the Line 1 service will experience occasional interruptions, brief service cuts that will be coordinated with the Local Police.
