SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22nd March (EUROPA PRESS) –
Three individuals were apprehended by the local police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife last night as they attempted to burglarize three shops on Los Majuelos Avenue. Following several police interventions on a street in El Sobradillo, the culprits were successfully located. The arrested individuals were identified as JARG, aged 35, JAR, aged 34, and CPR, also 35.
Local police patrols responded to calls from residents around 10:45 p.m. on Los Majuelos Avenue. Upon arrival, damages to three establishments were confirmed, affecting the doors and shutters. Witness statements regarding the characteristics of the assailants’ vehicle, a grey BMW, were gathered. It was the intervention of neighbours shouting at the culprits as they attempted to break into the shops that caused them to flee without succeeding in their mission.
The officers communicated with the Communications Room to inform the shop owners or managers of the incidents. Soon after, patrols were dispatched to locate the arrested individuals’ vehicle, which was found on a street in El Sobradillo, where they were concealing inside the car.
Upon identification, the culprits were detained and later taken to a health facility, while their vehicle was impounded at the municipal depot. Inside the vehicle, various tools such as a crowbar, shears, torches, a laptop, and a mobile phone were uncovered. Subsequently, they were transported to the police station where they were handed over to the appropriate judicial authority.
