VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), 20th March (EUROPA PRESS) –
In a daring operation, Salvamar Adhara of Maritime Rescue saved 58 migrants from a canoe in distress near the island of El Hierro on Tuesday afternoon.
The rescued migrants were brought safely to the port of La Restinga in the municipality of El Pinar. Upon arrival, they received medical attention from the Red Cross and the Canary Islands Emergency Service. Three individuals with different ailments were subsequently taken to the island hospital for further treatment.
