Second Edition of ‘FormaemPléate’ Event at CIFP Virgen de Candelaria in Tenerife

Tomorrow, the CIFP Virgen de Candelaria Integrated Vocational Training Center (CIFP) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will kick off its second edition of the FormaemPléate professions exhibition. This year’s event will be graced by the presence of the President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, among other dignitaries.

Clavijo is set to inaugurate this educational and professional event, spanning over two days. The first day will be dedicated to public institutions and businessmen, while the second day will engage educational institutions on the island and students.

Julián Fariña, the director of CIFP Virgen de Candelaria, will welcome President Fernando Clavijo, alongside other public, business, and academic figures. The event will feature a series of activities aimed at providing insights into the Vocational Training offerings at CIFP, catering to public institutions, local businesses, students from the centre, and invitees from other institutes on the island.

The inauguration of FormaemPléate 2024 will commence at 9:30 a.m. in the main hall of CIFP Virgen de Candelaria. The event will include speeches by the President of the Canary Islands, a significant representation of the regional government, and key figures from the Ministries of Education and Tourism, along with guests from the Cabildo of Tenerife, the University of La Laguna, and other academic and business entities.

The second edition of this professions exhibition also features a dedicated programme for discussing and analysing the current and future prospects of tourism in the Canary Islands, scheduled for Wednesday morning. The agenda includes a round table with industry experts and the participation of sector businessmen and Economics specialists during the session.

The same day will also see a discussion on Dual Vocational Training, set to be implemented in the Canary Islands in the academic year 2024-25.
