The lifeless body of a man was discovered during Friday afternoon inside his home, devoured by animals in Tenerife.
The unpleasant finding of human remains took place in a rural area in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, thanks to two individuals who went to look for said citizen, who lived alone in his house, according to preliminary information.
A neighbour from Valle de Tahodio, in the Anaga Massif, decided to call a rural guard from the area as they had not seen a familiar face for days. Both of them went to the property of the deceased person.
The rural guard went ahead to enter the property. The door of the house was open, and in one of the rooms was the man, over 60 years old.
According to one of the sources consulted, the corpse was supposedly devoured by animals. It is currently unknown whether only dogs were involved in this action or rodents as well.
Officers from the Citizen Security Brigade of the National Police moved to the aforementioned enclave of Tahodio, in the upper part of the reservoir, and cordoned off the house.
Members of the Scientific Police Brigade and the Homicide Group of the Provincial Brigade of Judicial Police also went to the residence to investigate the matter, as well as officers from the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. A forensic doctor was also called upon to proceed with the removal of the body after the necessary technical inspection.
