Extreme fog has resulted in the diversion of a total of 11 flights to Tenerife North airport on Wednesday, due to poor visibility, as reported by Aena sources to EFE.
The initial flights originating from Valencia and Madrid were rerouted to Gran Canaria airport, while a third flight from Gran Canaria was redirected to Tenerife South.
Later in the day, additional flights from Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, El Hierro, and La Palma were also diverted to Tenerife South, as specified by the sources.
