A man engaged in paragliding in Adeje, Tenerife, sustained moderate injuries following an accident, as reported by the Canary Islands’ 1-1-2 Emergency and Safety Coordinating Centre.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon near the Morro del Guanche area in Adeje. The Emergency and Rescue Group’s (GES) helicopter was dispatched to the location, airlifting the injured individual to the Adeje Volunteer Firefighters helipad.
Upon arrival, the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) provided medical attention to the paraglider, who had sustained moderate injuries to both his upper and lower limbs. He was then safely transferred by ambulance to Hospiten Sur for further treatment.
This incident comes after similar accidents occurred in La Oliva (Fuerteventura) last Thursday, in Adeje on February 29, and on February 25 in the same municipality.
