The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council led by Carlos Tarife in the Public Services department will commence paving a section of the right lane on Méndez Núñez street from next Monday, March 11. This project, with a budget of 8,000 euros, will cover the intersection with San Martín, San Miguel, Arquitectos Saavedra y Díaz-Llanos streets, and San Pedro passage. The pavement enhancements are scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. throughout the week, finishing on Friday, March 15.
Mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, emphasises that “the City Council is committed to enhancing road pavements across the five districts to ensure safe circulation for citizens.”
Public Services Councilor, Carlos Tarife, clarifies that “this project focuses on enhancing a section of Méndez Núñez street, which daily bears the heavy traffic of numerous vehicles and buses, leading to pavement deterioration.” He further mentions that “addressing the residents’ concerns about this specific area prompted the initiation of these works.”
The City Council emphasises the importance of prudence throughout the duration of the project and urges strict adherence to traffic signs to ensure maximum safety for all road users.
