SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 6th March (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife is currently exploring the possibility of reopening the motorhome zone at Camping de Montaña Roja, located in the municipality of Granadilla.
Following the expiration of the concession and the decision not to renew it by the concessionaire company, the Natural Environment, Sustainability, Security, and Emergency division of the Cabildo took the step to close the facilities last Thursday.
Gesplan, the public company, has been assigned the task of carrying out various works to ensure round-the-clock surveillance and protection of the facilities.
Camping Montaña Roja consists of several areas, including a motorhome zone, a camping area, cabins, as well as a cafeteria and restaurant service.
A legal procedure is currently ongoing among individuals associated with the cabin area, hence the island corporation is awaiting the outcome to make a final decision regarding the campsite.
In the meantime, until a resolution is reached, the Cabildo intends to reopen the motorhome area for public use and enjoyment.
