Authorities from the Provincial Police Station have reported that they are currently investigating the discovery of multiple bundles of cocaine on the shores of Almáciga and Benijo beaches in Anaga, located in the northeast of Tenerife.
According to local newspaper The day, approximately thirty bundles of the illicit substance were found on these beaches, both washed up on shore and floating in the sea.
Passersby in the area stumbled upon the packages and promptly alerted law enforcement agencies.
The case has now been handed over to the on-duty investigative court in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
