Metrotenerife made an announcement on Monday regarding the partial suspension of the tram strike initiated by workers back on February 9 after reaching an agreement between the involved parties.
As per the agreement, the strike will be suspended for the whole day on Mondays and Fridays, as well as during the time frame from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week.
The strike will still be in effect on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the time slots of 7:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Furthermore, a Monitoring Commission will be established to ensure the fulfillment of the agreements made. This commission will consist of three representatives from each party – the company and the strike committee, and will be chaired by the current mediator in the negotiations, the lawyer and Labor Law professor, Mónica Molina.
