As the saying goes, ‘misfortune follows Pedri’. The Canarian footballer from FC Barcelona suffered another injury last Sunday in the match against Athletic Club and it is already his third injury this season.
Unable to hold back the tears, Pedri had to leave the field, a moment that deeply touched all Canarian fans.
In a critical moment of the match at San Mamés, just before half-time, Pedri collapsed on the field. The Barça player once again felt a sharp pain in his thigh, making it clear he could not continue. Visibly affected, he left the pitch in tears.
This is not a new situation for him, as since joining the Blaugrana club he has been plagued by injuries. Pedri once again faced the ordeal that has been haunting him for years, adding up to a total of 69 missed matches due to injuries.

Bad luck seems to be playing against him, as this is the third injury he has suffered this season. The former UD Las Palmas player has struggled to find a consistent competitive rhythm. Every time he seemed to recover and gain confidence on the field, a new injury forced him to stop. This season, he has been out of action for 94 days, missing a total of 16 matches, which is half of the season.

This situation is not exclusive to the current season. In previous years, Pedri has also had to deal with muscle injuries that have kept him off the pitch on several occasions, missing a total of 14 matches. However, the worst season in terms of injuries was 21/22, where he suffered three additional injuries that kept him out for five months, missing a total of 39 matches.
Despite the preventive efforts made by the club, injuries continue to affect the Canarian player, who is striving to regain his physical form and stay on the field.
