In a critical moment of the match at San Mamés, just before half-time, Pedri collapsed on the field. The Barça player once again felt a sharp pain in his thigh, making it clear he could not continue. Visibly affected, he left the pitch in tears.
This is not a new situation for him, as since joining the Blaugrana club he has been plagued by injuries. Pedri once again faced the ordeal that has been haunting him for years, adding up to a total of 69 missed matches due to injuries.

Every time he seemed to recover and gain confidence on the field, a new injury forced him to stop. In previous years, Pedri has also had to deal with muscle injuries that have kept him off the pitch on several occasions, missing a total of 14 matches. However, the worst season in terms of injuries was 21/22, where he suffered three additional injuries that kept him out for five months, missing a total of 39 matches.
Despite the preventive efforts made by the club, injuries continue to affect the Canarian player, who is striving to regain his physical form and stay on the field.
