SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Canary Islands Government, through the General Directorate of Emergencies, has lifted the wind pre-alert status across the archipelago as of 12:00 p.m. today, Sunday, March 3.
This decision is based on the information provided by the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources, and in compliance with the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA).
Furthermore, the pre-alert status for adverse coastal phenomena remains in place, with recommendations to refrain from taking photos or selfies where the waves break, as there is a risk of being swept out to sea, and to avoid fishing and other activities in hazardous areas.
