SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 2nd Mar (EUROPA PRESS) –
Two males, aged 42 and 32, were hurt in a road accident that took place today, Saturday, on the TF-66 motorway, close to the El Palmar roundabout, within the Tenerife district of Arona, as per details from the Emergency Coordination Centre and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operational room got a notification informing that a vehicle was involved in a road accident and its occupants needed medical aid.
Cecoes quickly mobilised the essential emergency services, with a fundamental life support ambulance and a medically equipped ambulance from the SUC, Tenerife Firefighters, the Civil Guard, and personnel from the Cabildo’s Road Conservation Service heading towards the site.
On arrival, the Fire Consortium team secured the damaged vehicles and extricated one of the passengers from inside the cabin where he was trapped.
The SUC personnel evaluated and supported the two individuals affected. One was transferred to the Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria University Hospital due to moderate head injuries. The other was transported to the Hospital del Sur with moderate wounds, without any additional complications.
The Civil Guard conducted the necessary documentation following the accident, and the Road Maintenance Service personnel undertook road cleaning activities.
