The developer of La Tejita Resort has clarified that the construction work that resumed on Monday, 26th February, has been granted all the necessary permits for development across 100% of the total property. This confirmation comes from three rulings by the First Section of the Contentious-Administrative of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), stating the project’s legality and validating the permits as legitimate and effective for execution.
The developer aims to address any concerns about the possibility of facing obstacles in the maritime-terrestrial public domain area for the project. They assert that the authorization and planning permit were granted in accordance with the demarcation of the current maritime-terrestrial zone at the time of approval in 2018. They stress that any subsequent demarcation changes should not impact previously granted licenses.
Emphasizing that the construction work holds all necessary legal approvals for the entire property, the developer argues that the approved boundary modification does not render the project “illegal.”
Furthermore, the developer highlights that legal action has been taken to seek compensation for financial losses incurred due to the unlawful halts in the project.
