SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 27th February (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 50-year-old individual has sustained severe injuries in a road incident that took place today, Tuesday, on the Penetration road (TF-4), in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as communicated by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1 -1-2.
The occurrence transpired shortly after 8:30 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operational room received a notification regarding a collision on TF-4, heading south, involving a motorcyclist.
The Cecoes promptly initiated the required emergency resources to respond in the location, including a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), the Civil Guard, the Local Police, and personnel from the Cabildo’s Road Service.
Upon arrival, SUC personnel evaluated and provided assistance to the motorcyclist, who had suffered severe head and chest injuries, and was subsequently transported by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
The Civil Guard undertook the preparation of the respective report, while the Highway Service staff took charge of clearing the road. As a consequence of the accident, traffic congestion ensued, leading the Local Police to manage the flow of heavy traffic to alleviate congestion in the area.
