An adolescent of twelve years old was saved this Saturday afternoon while rescue teams are combing the area for an adult who went missing after being swept into the sea at Rojas beach, in the municipality of [El] Sauzal, in Tenerife, due to the fierce waves.
Approximately fifteen minutes to five in the afternoon, a notification was received regarding two individuals getting washed into the sea, with additional information that the adult had collided with the rocks.
The helicopter belonging to the Emergency and Rescue Group of the Government of the Canary Islands successfully pinpointed the youngster, hoisted them up to the aircraft, and descended onto a nearby platform, where awaiting ambulances were ready to administer medical care.
