SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 24 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Canary Islands’ President, Fernando Clavijo, reiterates the complete cooperation of the regional administration with the legal system concerning the Koldo case and the alleged involvement of the Executive when Ángel Víctor Torres oversaw the acquisition of masks through his former advisor to ex-minister José Luis Ábalos.
“It is crucial in these circumstances for citizens, through the media, to be informed and fully acquainted with everything the administrative files encompass,” he stated in a press briefing, emphasizing that it involves “public funds.”
Clavijo also emphasised the principle of innocence until proven guilty, clarifying the distinction between political accountabilities and duties of politicians to provide explanations, and the judicial processes that demand “respect” and “cooperation.”
