Lanzarote manages to salvage a point in their visit to Villa Isabel stadium (1-1). The Lanzarote team, fully engaged in the battle for the leadership of the Canarian group in Tercera RFEF, saved the day against Ibarra in an agonizing manner. In a closely contested match with chances distributed evenly and no clear dominator, Arturo put the Tenerife team ahead at the start of the second half, while Álex Cruz secured the draw in the 82nd minute.
There were no clear opportunities until the first quarter of an hour, when a pass from home player Machín found Javi Martín who ended up shooting across goal. Ten minutes later, Lanzarote responded through Rabii, who finished off a corner with a shot that skimmed the woodwork of the opponent’s goal.
With ten minutes remaining before half-time, the clearest opportunity arrived. It was protagonized by Ibarra. After a powerful shot by Rabii that was repelled by goalkeeper Alejandro, the ball fell loose for Marcos, who with a clear chance, missed the target.

Right at the start of the second half, Marcos from Ibarra dribbled down the right-wing and took advantage of the Lanzarote goalkeeper’s poor positioning to surprise with a volley hitting the crossbar. A minute later, Ibarra found success. Rabii assisted Arturo, who from inside the box took a shot that, after deflecting off a defender, ended up in the net for the 1-0 lead.
After the goal, the red team tried to step up a gear against an opponent well positioned on the field trying to hold onto their lead. However, with just under ten minutes left until the final whistle, Álex Cruz capitalized on an error by Ángel Galván to comfortably score the equaliser at 1-1. Lanzarote could end up today, if Tenerife B wins, four points behind the top spot.
