Three flights that were scheduled to land this afternoon at the Tenerife North airport have been redirected to Tenerife South due to poor visibility at the northern airfield of the island, as reported by Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA).
These include two flights from Madrid and another originating from Gran Canaria.
Air traffic controllers also mentioned on social media that low visibility procedures have been implemented for interisland traffic bound for northern Tenerife, causing delays for safety reasons.
They indicate that interisland traffic destined for Los Rodeos is being held on the ground until conditions improve to avoid saturation.
