The Candelaria City Council has announced, through its social media, that the Carnival dance event scheduled for this Friday, February 23, has been cancelled due to strong winds.
Tonight, starting at 10:00 pm, the orchestras Sabrosa, Combo Dominicano de Gran Canaria and Acapulco were set to perform. However, due to the adverse weather conditions, with the islands on wind pre-alert, the performances for this Friday have been cancelled.

Weather conditions will determine if the events on Saturday can go ahead or not.
Specifically, on Saturday, the Carnival parade is scheduled, along with the regional murga competition and dancing to the tunes of the orchestras Nueva Línea, Corinto Band and Revelación.
