SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22 Feb (EUROPA PRESS) –
Last Tuesday, the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife detained a 65-year-old man following a report from a 14-year-old boy regarding the man’s behaviour.
According to reports, the detainee persistently proposed sexual activities to the boy in exchange for varying sums of money.
The 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands informed the Local Police about the incident, prompting the mobilisation of various patrols to locate the individual in question.
Utilising the physical description and attire of the man, he was intercepted on the final stretch of Príncipes de España Avenue in Ofra, as reported by the Local Police.
After being identified, the law enforcement officers informed the minor’s parent of the events, urging them to file a formal complaint.
It was discovered that this was not the first instance of such actions by the detainee.
Subsequently, the officers escorted him to the police station and conducted the necessary procedures to present him before the appropriate judicial authority.
The National Police’s specialized unit was also consulted on this matter, considering the potential crime of corruption of minors.
Allegedly, the apprehended individual already had a prior police record related to this issue.
