SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22nd February (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 66-year-old man is in critical condition after experiencing cardiorespiratory failure on a street in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon, on Avenida José Marti, in the Bº de la Alegría in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a location where personnel from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) intervened. Upon their arrival, they found the affected person still experiencing cardiorespiratory failure, and thus proceeded with basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures.
Subsequent to successfully reviving the gentleman from cardiac arrest and stabilising him, he was transported in critical condition by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Local Police officers were also present at the scene and assisted in resolving the incident.
