The nightlife, and the Carnival, unfortunately, has shown its worst side on several occasions in recent years. The mix of alcohol with an increase in adrenaline has led to physical altercations. This seemed to be the case on Wednesday, February 14th, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, during the crowded celebration that followed the Burial of the Sardine in the capital’s carnival.
Two young people staged a fight and several witnesses watched as if it were real. To the extent that several officers from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Local Police quickly intervened to stop the dispute, but when they were about to step in, the carnival DJ changed the music rhythm, and the two young people started dancing, demonstrating that there was no bad blood between them, but on the contrary, they showed great friendship by dancing in the midst of the Santa Cruz celebration.
A witness recorded the events, and the video went viral after being shared on various social networks and instant messaging applications.
There are several users who have criticized the events, labeling the protagonists as “foolish”, while others applaud the video. “The police were like, ‘Now what do we do?’ ” posted @daviniaconuve. “Nothing happened here,” added @MassiferMaximo.
