SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Tourism Department of the Cabildo of La Palma, with backing from the public company Sodepal, will showcase the island’s attractions in hiking, cycling, and gastronomy at two concurrent fairs on February 23, 24, and 25 in Pamplona and Utrecht (Holland).
The Fiets en Wandelbeurs caters to end consumers interested in active tourism, hiking, and cycling and is renowned for its niche focus, drawing around 27,000 visitors over three days in 2023.
The Navartur fair aligns with what La Palma offers as a tourist destination, attracting an audience primarily from Navarra and the Basque Country with substantial purchasing power, interested in outdoor activities and gastronomy. During the promotional event in Pamplona, Saborea La Palma, alongside the Ministry of Tourism, will have its dedicated stand showcasing both the island’s gastronomy and its signature products.
The Minister of Tourism, Raquel Rebollo, and the head of Economic Promotion and CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, emphasized “the necessity of collective action” to enhance La Palma’s international promotion “effectiveness, in achieving our targeted objectives to establish our island as an international benchmark in key segments.”
Rebollo highlighted that in both fairs, “the promotional efforts” by the La Palma exhibitors are as crucial as the planned “engagements with industry professionals” in both Pamplona and Utrecht. “This way, we cater to both the end public and the tour operators responsible for curating and arranging tourist packages,” she added.
