SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 15th February (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands and the Red Cross reported that Maritime Rescue carried out the rescue of two canoes with 111 migrants in waters near the island of El Hierro on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Salvamento Marítimo, one of the canoes was rescued by the Adhara rescue boat approximately 16.6 kilometers (9 miles) south of La Restinga, in El Hierro, with 67 people on board, including two women.
The health device at the La Restinga dock provided assistance to the 111 migrants from the two canoes rescued during Thursday afternoon.
