A 16-year-old teen was rescued showing signs of moderate drowning after being struck by the sea and falling into the waters off the coast of Los Cangrejos, in Santiago del Teide (Tenerife), as per the report from the Coordinating Center of Emergencies and Security of 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon at the mentioned location, and the Tenerife firefighters assisted in evacuating the affected young woman, who was then transferred by them to the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) ambulance. Subsequently, the SUC officers evaluated her and took her to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
Local Police and the Civil Guard also responded to the scene of the incident.
