Not only limited to the arts, he was also recognised as the Best Manager of Social Networks by the Sanods Hotels Chain, and his literary works have been featured in prestigious publications and exhibitions.
In the realm of cinema, Delgado’s creations have been showcased at prominent film festivals, further solidifying his standing as a versatile and accomplished artist.
The town of San Juan de la Rambla proudly celebrates one of its most renowned artists, José Delgado, whose passion for bringing laughter speaks volumes. Delgado’s journey began with childhood play-acting, eventually leading him to pursue a career in Fine Arts. Reflecting on pivotal moments in his life, he recalls being inspired by a Cuban artist’s performance, ultimately solidifying his resolve to become an artist.
Delgado’s commitment to his craft extends beyond entertainment; he recognises the profound impact of a clown’s ability to alleviate the audience’s burdens and provide genuine moments of joy. He emphasises that the essence of clowning lies not only in donning a red nose but also in embodying storytelling and creating immersive experiences for his audience.
When asked about the emotions he experiences before a performance, Delgado candidly expresses a mix of responsibility, nervousness, and solitude. He describes the paradox of healing others’ souls through laughter while confronting his own personal struggles once the spotlight fades.
Delgado’s dedication to his art is evident in his commitment to creating new projects, including scripts for short films and his novel. His admiration for accomplished actors such as Pepe Viyuela and his late friend Enrique serves as a testament to his continuous pursuit of artistic excellence.
