After experiencing a fall on the Punta del Hidalgo-Chinamada trail in San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife), a 63-year-old hiker sustained injuries that required rescue this Friday.
The Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 reported that the woman had moderate injuries. Subsequently, rescuers from the GES helicopter provided initial assistance, immobilized her, and evacuated her via aircraft to the La Guancha helipad.
At the helipad, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) awaited, and the woman was then transported to the Hospital del Norte for further treatment.
