The Carnival Queen 2024 for Santa Cruz de Tenerife has been crowned – the young Corina Mrazek González emerged victorious in a gala dedicated to the theme of television, in line with this year’s chicharreras festivities.
A total of eleven candidates graced the stage in a gala hosted by Eloísa González and Elvis Sanfiel. The event also featured performances by Puerto Rican artist Tony Tun Tun, singer Mónica Naranjo, and groups from the Chicharrero carnival.
The panel of judges included diverse personalities such as Barbara Rey, actress and presenter; Arón Morales Pérez, illustrator and winner of the 2024 Carnival Poster; Héctor León León, film and theater costume designer; and Alberto Dugarte, renowned as The Celebrity Makeup Artist. Other members were Alejandro Tosco Castro, a Fine Arts graduate and president of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Tenerife, and Patricia Yurena Rodríguez, an illustrator artist and Miss Spain 2008. The jury also comprised of Nieves Bravo, an actress known for her character Panchita on Canarian Television, and Desirée Hernández, presenter of the program 25 Grados on Canarian Television. Furthermore, Marlene Mourreau, a presenter, actress, and vedette, journalist Jorge Moreno from the Telecinco program Fiesta, Tania Betancor, an aesthetic doctor and director of the Tania Betancor Clinic, and Roberto Herrera, a journalist and director of the Cerca de Ti program on TVE in the Canary Islands.
