The National Police will deploy an extensive security team comprising of 600 officers to ensure the safety of the public during the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival.
In implementing this team, the National Police will have the support of other law enforcement agencies, such as the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Local Police and the Regional Police.
Involving Police Intervention Units, Prevention and Reaction Units, Plainclothes Officers, Canine Handlers, and a helicopter from the Canary Islands Police Headquarters.

Thus, the primary objective of citizen safety is to prevent criminal activities, maintain public order, and fulfil the objectives outlined in the Anti-Terrorism Prevention and Protection Plan, ensuring the smooth running of the events.
Additionally, undercover national police will be stationed at high-conflict areas with large crowds to offer immediate assistance if required. The services of the National Police’s Complaints and Citizen Service Offices in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will be reinforced to handle any potential incidents.
Furthermore, dedicated security teams will be deployed in transportation, and the National Police will oversee maritime routes between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and La Palma.
The National Police will also utilise drones and anti-drone equipment to ensure aerial security in the capital of Tenerife.
