Injured paraglider rescued after a fall in northern Tenerife

A 45-year-old paraglider sustained moderate injuries after a fall at a paragliding take-off area in Los Realejos, on the island of Tenerife, according to the Canary Islands’ Emergency and Security Coordinating Center, 1-1-2.

The incident took place on Thursday afternoon, and the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) responded, finding the injured person with moderate traumas, except for complications. The paraglider was then transported by ambulance to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital.

Local Police also arrived at the scene, intervening in the operation deployed in the area.
