What’s the weather forecast for the Canary Islands this Thursday?

On Thursday, the Canary Islands will experience mild calima, with temperatures rising in the northern and central parts of the islands and winds from the south to southwest, according to Aemet.
At sea, the wind will tend to be variable at 1 to 3, locally from the south in the west. The waves will be moderate to smooth, with a northwesterly swell of up to one meter. The calima will tend to decrease.
ISLAND-BY-ISLAND FORECAST FOR THURSDAY:

Intervals of mid and high-level clouds. Mild calima. Temperatures will slightly rise in general, more noticeably in the northern half, where it may be locally significant. The wind will be from the south, turning southwest from midday.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Arrecife 16 25

Intermittent high-level clouds. Mild calima. Temperatures will remain unchanged or slightly rise, more markedly in the maximum temperatures in the northern half, where it may be locally significant. Southeast wind turning southwest from midday.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Puerto del Rosario 17 26

Intermittent high-level clouds. Mild calima. Temperatures will generally rise in the northern half, possibly significantly in the northeast, and remain unchanged in the rest of the areas. Light wind from the south increasing and turning southwest from midday.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 18 28

Intermittent high-level clouds with mild calima. Temperatures will generally rise, more markedly in the maximum temperatures of the interior. Southwest wind, stronger in the southeast and northeast extremities during the central hours; in the central peaks, westerly winds will increase.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Santa Cruz de Tenerife 18 25

Intermittent high-level clouds with mild calima, subsiding. Temperatures will slightly rise in general, more significantly in the maximum temperatures of the northern and eastern slopes. Wind from the south.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): San Sebastián de La Gomera 18 25

Intermittent high-level clouds with mild calima, subsiding. Temperatures will remain unchanged or slightly rise, more significantly on the northern and eastern slopes. Wind from the south. On the peaks, westerly winds will increase.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Santa Cruz de La Palma 18 27

Intermittent high-level clouds with mild calima, subsiding. Temperatures will slightly rise, more significantly in the maximum temperatures of slopes facing east. Generally light south winds, stronger in the northeast and northwest extremes.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C): Valverde 16 22
